Greg Fischer Urges Calm As LMPD Slowly Lowers Giant Dome Over Louisville
In anticipation of the Kentucky Attorney General’s announcement and grand jury decision in the killing of Breonna Taylor, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer urged the city to remain calm and peaceful and to stay within the designated protest zones LMPD has set up.
As Fischer continued talking, the sound of several helicopters could be heard drawing closer to the city. A Boondocks Gazette reporter walked outside to see a large dome being ever so slowly and cautiously placed over the entirety of Louisville.
When asked about the purpose of the dome Fischer responded: “Oh, that? That’s the unity and peace dome that we drop down to encourage unity and peace. It’s not meant to entrap or frighten anyone and certainly shouldn’t be seen as some sort of escalation of force.”
Fischer then announced that while citizens were not permitted to leave the dome the National Guard, state police, FBI, LMPD and other law enforcement agencies would have the freedom to traverse the entirety of the dome as they saw fit.
